There is something very classy and elegant about delicate white flowers in the landscape. Crape Myrtles don’t get any better than the Natchez variety. Hundreds of pure white blooms, in six- to 12-inch panicles, stand out against the dark green foliage from June through September. The cinnamon-brown exfoliating bark is another remarkable characteristic of the Natchez that gets lots of attention from admirers. The leaves turn a striking bright red and yellow in the fall before leaves drop for the winter.

These trees are very heat and cold tolerant, growing well throughout the southeastern United States. They are drought tolerant once established and can grow well in the challenging soil conditions often prevalent in urban communities. This variety also has excellent resistance to powdery mildew and Crape Myrtle aphids, adding to the traits that make it a superior variety of Crape Myrtle.
